Caster was born in southern Wales. His mother, a widow, moved the family to the United States when Caster was just 5 years old. He grew up in the rural outskirts of Olympia. A star athlete in High School, his grades and SAT scores kept him from continuing his football career in college. After graduation, he took some odd jobs and eventually moved with his girl friend at the time to Idaho. It was there that he found a focus for his disillusioned point of view. The Believers of the One True King, a militant right wing faction of the Christian Church, followed a charismatic leader who went by the name Genovah. His doctrine explained that Nova’s around the world were incarnations of the endless war between God and the Devil. Belief in Genovah the One True King was the Way to righteousness.
“The End is Nigh,” said Genovah. We are the warriors, the angels of God’s wrath. We will end this war, vanquish the Devil and take our place in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ. If you have sufficient faith, Jesus will act through me to grant you Angelic powers to rival the demons out there." “If they are not one of us, they are the followers of Darkness. Show them the mercy of death and eternal damnation.”
Caster enlisted and was soon an apostle of Genovah. After a year in service, Genovah came to him in the night.
“Follow me, " he said, “Tonight your faith is tested. You will die or be reborn”
They climbed the path to the great church. They climbed the stairs to the roof. When the opened the door, there was a small path cutting across the flat roof. It was rimmed with people holding torched. These were the High Apostles. They had proven their faith and if he could pass this he would be saved. Genovah walked him down the isle, hand in hand, right to the building edge. Then Genovah stepped up the ledge. “Join me Caster,” said Genovah, “Together we will take this leap of faith.” Caster’s heart was beating fast but he stepped on the ledge. The Lord would protect him. Then Genovah stepped off the ledge, but he did not fall. He hung in the air like he was suspended by a rope. “Will you take the leap with me Caster?,” he held his hand out.
When Caster reached out to take Genovah’s hand it passed straight through it, like it was smoke. Caster began to fall. Then a few things happened very fast. He stopped breathing. He could feel a pain in the back of his head. A picture of a raven came to him. Then he was flying! The wind was like a cushion, softly holding him up. He turned and saw the roof and the apostles, and he saw Genovah. They were all hooting and hollering. He had done it. The Lord had spared him and he was the incarnation of the Angel Gabriel. He landed on the roof and with a little effort, returned to his human form.
Today Caster is one of the High Apostles of the One True King. He is often sent on hunting expeditions to find and destroy demons.
